Continuous efforts are essential to create clear pathways for Bruneians to take up high-value roles in the digital sector from technical and engineering fields to innovation and leadership positions.  Thus, the Minister at the Prime Minister Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy said that building local capacity is not only an investment in people, but in the long-term resilience and self-reliance of the economy. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah stated the matter at Huawei Technologies (Brunei) Sendirian Berhad's 20th Anniversary Celebration, at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, 14th August morning.

The celebration was officiated by the Minister at the Prime Minister Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; and Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Info-Communications. It coincided with the signing of the plaque to commemorate Huawei Technologies (Brunei) Sendirian Berhad's 20th Anniversary.
